We Know Nassau County Events

Soundview Caterers has been serving Nassau County families and businesses for years, and we’ve learned what makes events successful. It’s not just about having a beautiful space—though our waterfront location certainly doesn’t hurt.

It’s about understanding that every celebration is different. Your wedding reception needs different attention than a corporate dinner. A sweet sixteen requires different energy than a 50th anniversary party.

We’ve hosted them all, and we know how to make each one feel exactly right for the people celebrating. When you work with us, you’re working with people who live in this community and understand what Long Island families expect from their special events.

Buffet with trays of food features penne pasta with tomatoes, a rice dish with greens and tomatoes, and a dish with breaded items, perfect for weddings. A serving spoon rests in the pasta tray, ready to serve guests at wedding venues on Long Island, NY.

Party Planning Process

Simple Steps, Exceptional Results

First, we’ll sit down and talk about your vision. What kind of celebration are you planning? How many guests? What’s most important to you—the food, the atmosphere, the service, or all three? This conversation helps us understand exactly what you need.

Next, we’ll walk you through our space and discuss menu options. You’ll see how we can configure the room for your event size and style. We’ll talk through catering options, bar service, and any special requirements you have. No surprises, no hidden fees—just clear information so you can make the right decision.

Once you book, our team handles the coordination. We’ll confirm details as your event approaches, manage setup and breakdown, and make sure everything runs smoothly during your celebration. You focus on your guests; we focus on making sure everything else happens exactly as planned.

Reception Hall Services

Complete Event Solutions Under One Roof

Our party hall comes with everything you need for a successful event. The space itself is flexible—we can accommodate intimate gatherings of 50 or larger celebrations of up to 200 guests. The waterfront setting provides a beautiful backdrop without requiring additional decorating expenses.

Catering is handled by our professional kitchen staff who prepare fresh, quality meals that actually taste good. We’re not talking about typical banquet hall food that sits under heat lamps. Our chefs prepare dishes that your guests will genuinely enjoy, with options for different dietary needs and preferences.

Bar service is included with professional bartenders who know how to keep the drinks flowing without overdoing it. We handle all the licensing and logistics, so you don’t have to worry about permits or liability issues. Our staff manages setup, service throughout the event, and complete cleanup afterward, so you can leave when the party’s over instead of staying to clean up.

A buffet table adorned with a variety of appetizers—skewers, small sandwiches, and glass-served salads—graces the wedding venues in Long Island, NY. Set on black-clothed tables with neatly arranged plates and cutlery, it’s complemented by an elegant floral centerpiece.
For weddings and major celebrations, we recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for popular dates like spring and fall weekends. However, we often have availability for events with shorter notice, particularly for weekday events or during our less busy seasons. The key is to call as soon as you have your date in mind. Even if we’re booked on your first choice, we might have alternative dates that work just as well. We keep our booking calendar updated and can quickly tell you what’s available for your preferred timeframe.
Our packages include the venue space, tables, chairs, linens, basic lighting, and sound system. Catering packages include all food preparation, service staff, and cleanup. Bar packages cover bartender service, glassware, and standard mixers—you can choose from our liquor packages or provide your own alcohol. We also include setup and breakdown service, so you don’t need to arrive early or stay late to handle logistics. Parking is included, and we provide a dedicated event coordinator to manage details on the day of your event. Additional services like upgraded linens, special lighting, or extended hours are available for an additional fee.
Absolutely. We regularly accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs. Our kitchen staff is experienced with food allergies and special requirements, and we can modify most menu items or create alternative dishes as needed. We just need to know about dietary restrictions when you’re planning your menu, preferably at least two weeks before your event. This gives our chefs time to prepare properly and ensures we have the right ingredients on hand. We can also provide separate serving utensils and preparation areas for guests with severe allergies.
We understand that guest counts change as your event approaches. We typically need your final headcount one week before your event for catering purposes, but we can accommodate reasonable changes up to 48 hours before if needed. If your count increases significantly, we’ll adjust catering and seating accordingly. If your count decreases, we’ll modify your final bill to reflect the actual number served. We build some flexibility into our planning because we know that RSVPs don’t always come in as expected, and sometimes family situations change at the last minute.
Yes, we assign a dedicated event coordinator to every celebration. This person will be your main point of contact on the day of your event and will handle all the logistics—coordinating with any outside vendors you’re using, managing the timeline, overseeing food service, and handling any issues that come up. Your coordinator will also be available during your event to make sure everything runs smoothly, so you can focus on enjoying your celebration instead of managing details. This service is included in our packages because we’ve learned that having someone in charge of logistics makes every event more successful.
We require a deposit to secure your date, with the balance due two weeks before your event. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Our cancellation policy varies depending on how far in advance you cancel—the earlier you let us know, the more of your deposit we can refund. For cancellations due to emergencies or circumstances beyond your control, we work with clients to find solutions, whether that’s rescheduling or partial refunds. We understand that sometimes life happens, and we try to be reasonable while also protecting our business. We’ll go over all payment terms and policies clearly when you book, so there are no surprises later.
